About Shogun Restaurant
Shogun Restaurant has been in the Midland-Odessa area over 24 years under the same ownership. We have been awarded numerous awards including Best Employer, Best Chef, and Most exciting Restaurant in the Permian Basin.
After graduating from University of Houston’s Hotel and Restaurant Management School, I absorbed as much as I could about the service and restaurant industry. After gaining valuable hands-on experience, I decided that the Permian Basin would be the best place to build my restaurant. Like most entrepreneurs, my partners and I collected all our savings and headed to the Permian Basin to build the restaurant now known as Shogun. With our newly born baby Jessica and a few chef friends, we arrived amidst one of the scariest thunderstorms and our first encounter with tornadoes. That was in 1982.
Our team of Asian builders used amazing skill in wood craftsmanship to build Midland-Odessa’s first Japanese steakhouse. We’ve worked hard over the years to bring you the finest in Japanese cuisine and excitement. We hope you will come and join us and see why our slogan is “Where the Show Never Stops!”
